In 1969, the Beatles released an album called, Abbey Road. While it was not their last album to be released, it was their last album to be recorded as a whole. The Beatle's Abbey Road is often regarded as one of their most unified albums despite the fact that the band was not functioning as a unit at the time.
Given that is likely that people would obviously draw comparisons between the Beatle's Abbey Road and this work by Cabo Joe & Chop-Chop, it was appropriate that this collection also be titled, Abbey Road.
During these sessions, tensions in the band were at a boiling point. And, yes, they eventually boiled over. Near the end of the sessions, Cabo Joe announced that he was leaving the band citing "musical indifference" as his reason for leaving. Remaining members, Chop-Chop and Larry, worked with the material that had been recorded. Eventually, they found the voice for this collection of stories.
This does not mark the demise of Cabo Joe & Chop-Chop. It does mark the end of an era for the band, but the band will survive.
We will make no comparisons to the seminal work by the Beatles. We leave that to our fans.
